Dr Tim May has been appointed to the Investec Wealth & Investment board as a non-executive director and a member of the remuneration and audit committees.

Mr May has had a long career in the wealth management industry and brings extensive commercial, governance and regulatory experience to IW&I.

His previous roles include chief executive of the Wealth Management Association (WMA), chairman of Euroclear UK and Ireland (formerly CrestCo), chief executive of CrestCo and chief operating officer of Gerrard.

From 1987 to 2002 Mr May held a number of senior positions in IW&I when it was branded Sheppards and subsequently Carr Sheppards Crosthwaite, as well as in the wider Investec Group.
