Business and finance adviser Grant Thornton has appointed a new head of its employee share scheme service across the West Midlands.
Paul Twist has 15 years' experience in his field and joins after a two-year advisory role with HMRC.
While at HMRC, Mr Twist was one of five national leads tasked with the development and launch of its 'know your customer' initiative, part of its ongoing campaign to increase employment tax compliance activity.
Prior to that, he worked at Vodafone, Deloitte and KPMG in a variety of roles focusing on the implementation, evaluation and communication of tax-efficient employee share schemes.
Mr Twist said: "Grant Thornton is earning a reputation as the advisory firm to growing businesses, particularly in the mid-sized business market.
"It's a very exciting time to join the firm as businesses consider how to either implement or improve employee share schemes to help them achieve their ambitions for growth."
