Midlands accountancy firm Clement Keys is inviting charity trustees and executives to a seminar focusing on key issues and developments within the sector.

Specialists from law and investment management firms will join Simon Atkins, charity partner at Clement Keys, to provide insights on how charities should react to the new SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) to ensure their accounts are informative and compliant.

The event will also offer an opportunity to hear about recent Charity Commission investigations.

Mr Atkins said: "This event will provide the perfect setting for charity professionals to keep up to speed with the legislative changes and topics of discussion affecting the sector.

"By highlighting these issues as they arise, we aim to give charities the information they need to stay ahead of the game and maximise their impact."

Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in Q&A sessions with charities and not-for-profit specialists as well as networking with other sector professionals.

The event takes place on September 25 at Clement Keys' Edgbaston office from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
