Catalyst Corporate Finance has recruited another dealmaker to its team in the Midlands.

Andrew Shaw joins the firm from Deloitte where he was assistant director in the transaction services team.

He has worked on a number of high-profile deals including the sale of American Golf to Sun Capital Partners, the acquisition of Clairmail by Monitise, the investments in Parts Alliance by Hg Capital and the recent disposal of Phase Eight to Feshini.

Mr Shaw, a graduate from Loughborough University, will be based in the Birmingham office of Catalyst working alongside partners Richard Sanders and Jamie Hope.

Andy Currie, managing partner at Catalyst commented: “Andrew joins us as we celebrate our most successful year. Our recent record level of activity has continued into 2015, with the team advising management on the MBO of the NEC Group and the shareholders of Sofa Brands International on its sale and we expect a number of other transactions to complete in the first quarter of the year.

“We continue to recruit across all our offices as our pipeline remains strong and the demand for our expertise grows.”
