A solar energy company has pledged to raise £5,000 for its chosen charity of the year – Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Eco2Solar will donate £10 for each solar panel installation it completes from now until November 2013, as well as holding monthly fundraising events.The Kidderminster firm hopes to raise up to £5,000 to support all three hospices – Birmingham, Black Country and Three Counties.

Ryan Mee, sales and operations director of Eco2Solar, said: “We have donated a significant amount of money for a range of charities through regularly fundraising activities since the launch of the business in 2007.

“By adopting a chosen charity each year, we will be able to make much more of a difference.”
