A marketing communications agency has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of a new creative director.

Solihull-based NC Creative Group has recruited Paul Roberts who returns to the UK following a spell in the Middle East for international events and marketing company WRG Creative Communications in its Doha office.

His new remit will involve working with the design team to develop the agency's creative work and develop new business.

Mr Roberts has previously worked across several industry sectors and media channels, having started his career with advertising agency Allen Brady and Marsh.

He has also held senior roles with agencies including Meerkat, Zinc Digital, Mulberry Advertising and Collett Dickenson, working for well known clients such as Yoplait and Dell.

NC Creative Group managing director Åsa Walker said: "The appointment is a significant building block in a five-year strategy plan set out to take our business onto the next level.

"Since the company's inception in 2002, we have built a reputation for excellent service delivery within the business-to-business sector, which has seen many blue chip organisations entrust our talented and dedicated team with their business.

"Recognising the opportunities as the economic recovery gathers pace, we have in Paul secured the services of an award-winning creative director who will enable us to further extend our services more effectively across both business and consumer sectors."

Mr Roberts added: "I was looking to join an ambitious agency with a strong ethos and great company culture and it was obvious to me from the outset that NC Creative has a really good thing going.

"I'm very much looking forward to working with the team to add some fresh insights to the agency's existing accounts, but also help attract additional clients from new sectors to the agency, as we continue to build for the future."
