A marketing manager has been appointed to promote the new Grand Central shopping centre which opens in September.

Retail marketing specialist Danielle Bozward brings more than 18 years of experience to the role, having previously worked in strategy, communications, planning and innovation.

She has previously worked for Bullring co-owner Hammerson, property consultancy JLL and reatil marketing agency Madisonsoho.

Ms Bozward said: "My passion is retail. I'm so excited to be a part of Grand Central which will complement the existing retail and dining offering currently in Birmingham.

"It is one of the most exciting retail developments to emerge from the UK this year and I am thrilled to be a part of it.

"I can't wait for the doors to open in September and the public to see exactly what this premium retail and dining destination has to offer."

General Manager Jonathan Cheetham said: "We're thrilled to have Danielle on board. Danielle's enthusiasm is fantastic to see and we're certain she's going to be a huge asset."

Anchored by a 250,000 sq ft John Lewis department store, Grand Central is the new shopping centre being built on the site of the old Pallasades next to New Street station and is due to open on September 24.
