A West Midlands photography network has taken on a PR company to raise awareness of its projects.

Barques PR, based in the Jewellery Quarter has won a 12-month contract to provide PR support for GRAIN Photography Hub, which is based at the Library of Birmingham.

Supported by Arts Council England, GRAIN works in collaboration with local, national and international partners in developing a range of ambitious research and development projects including commissions, exhibitions, events, courses, publications and professional development opportunities.

Its projects include the National Photography Symposium and research partnership Newfotoscapes.

The Photographers' Wall, a GRAIN project launched at the Library of Birmingham in January 2014, features the works of emerging and established fine art photographers and highlights the ambition and talent of some of the region's best photographers.

Barques PR has been tasked with raising awareness of GRAIN and its various exhibitions and events throughout regional, national and international press.
