The Creative Industries Federation is bringing its UK roadshow to Birmingham next week.
Hosted at Fazeley Studios in Digbeth, the federation will analyse the West Midlands' cultural offering while working alongside partners such as Birmingham City University, Maverick TV and Ikon Gallery.
The event will focus on the region's ongoing development as a creative hub, with key themes including the role of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) in education, developing an infrastructure which supports new ideas and business opportunities and developing skills.
Speakers and panellists include Anita Bhalla OBE, chairman of Creative City Partnership, Bethan Bishop, head of innovation and industry engagement with Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and Joe Godwin, director of BBC Birmingham and the BBC Academy.
The federation, which launched its programme of UK roadshows in April, aims to identify the challenges and opportunities faced by the creative sector both regionally and nationally.
The event runs from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on June 29 at Fazeley Studios - for more details and to register email firstname.lastname@example.org.
