Communications and PR agency Cogent Elliott has made a raft of new appointments following several account wins.

The firm, which is based in Meriden, has recently won briefs from sport body British Cycling and Black Country brewery Marston's.

The eight new recruits are marketing manager Amelia Ebdon, account executives Amy Swingler, Holly Ashworth and Imogen Marsh, account director Holly Lawson, film editor Ben Hennessy, IT professional Jordan Graham and art director Lucy Doolan.

Cogent Elliott's chief executive Mike Phillipson said: "Our philosophy centres around building our clients' businesses and it's great to welcome so many new faces to the agency.

"2015 was an amazing year for the business and we've enjoyed a strong start in 2016, which has meant we have needed to bring in new talent to help support our growing business."
