More housing is set to come to Longbridge as part of St Modwen's long-running regeneration of the south Birmingham town.
The listed group's residential arm St Modwen Homes has lodged new plans to build 41 houses off Groveley Lane.
These homes will continue the company's regeneration of Longbridge East which was previously known as East Works - part of the MG Rover plant and used for engine manufacturing and assembly.
It will comprise a range houses from three to five bedrooms including terraces, detached and semi-detached properties.
Robin Smith, technical director for St Modwen Homes, said: "This new development will have a softer and more green feel than the previous housing schemes that have been delivered in Longbridge.
"We've worked closely with our architects RPS to ensure each house type has been designed to be sympathetic to the local area."
These new homes will follow on from the Park View development, in Lowhill Lane, and complement those currently being delivered in a joint venture between St Modwen and Persimmon at Cofton Fields.
St Modwen is planning to start construction work early next year with the first homes due to be delivered in the summer.
This first phase of the development will include 14 affordable properties.
The £1 billion regeneration of Longbridge includes a new hotel, Sainsbury's and the Midlands' largest Marks & Spencer store which opened last month.
