A Grade II listed office complex in the heart of Birmingham's business district is to undergo a revamp.

The work at Cornwall Buildings, in Newhall Street, is expected to be finished in July and will see the entire ground and third floors renovated to include a new business lounge, individual work areas available for hot-desking and three meeting rooms.

Rob Valentine, head of the Birmingham office of Bruntwood which owns the building, said: "The way in which businesses are working is constantly evolving, with less demand for fixed desks but more flexible working spaces, which we will be able to offer with the new lounge and hot desk area, adding a much sought after amenity to the building.

"The first and second floors have recently been refurbished and, with the third floor currently being updated, the entire building will offer high-quality workspace to meet fresh demand in the city centre.

"The history and character of this building will be accentuated through our new designs and will offer something different to the more modern spaces in the Colmore Business District."

Cornwall Buildings totals 19,381 sq ft and is wholly comprised of serviced offices.
