Project management firm DBK in Birmingham has announced a series of new appointments and promotions to help deliver the firm’s growth strategy of achieving £15 million turnover by 2017.

The consultancy, which now employs 120 staff, will take its turnover to £9 million, with improving profit margins, its managing partner has said, which represents a 50 per cent rise in the last two years.

Paul Shrimpton, Aaron Murphy, Richard Cobb and Azrah Hussain have all joined DBK as cost and project management consultants.

Duncan Berry, managing partner of DBK, said: "The skill and potential of all those newly recruited and promoted reflect our belief that they will significantly contribute to the ongoing success of DBK and help us to achieve our growth goals."

"They are all highly experienced, highly skilled and passionate about what they do. They have a complete understanding of the demands of our business and this, coupled with their forward-thinking attitude, gives me great confidence in their capabilities to help take DBK forward for the future."

Mr Shrimpton, who has been appointed as an associate partner, brings more than 10 years' experience in pre-contract cost and value management for the commercial sector.

Mr Murphy has considerable experience on providing cost management advice on medium and long term framework agreements.

Mr Cobb specialises in procurement and contract advice and dilapidations and Mr Hussain has a strong track record in social housing from both client and consultant side.

All five will continue to focus on their respective areas of expertise.

Project manager Ross Fittall and building surveyor/CDM co-ordinator Paul Stanley have both been promoted to associate partners.

Mr Fittall is currently focused on the 18-month multimillion pound transformation of Mailbox in Birmingham where DBK is appointed as project manager and employers’ agent.

Mr Stanley will play an integral role in the ongoing development of the company's property services team. His particular focus over the next 12 months will be the upcoming changes to the CDM regulations.
