Work on a new home for Birmingham City University's office staff in Eastside Locks is progressing well.

Property group Goodman is developing the four-storey, 55,000 sq ft base at 6 Cardigan Street which is part of the wider regeneration of the Eastside area of Birmingham and the 'Eastside Locks' scheme.

6 Cardigan Street, on which work started last November, is being built next to BCU's Parkside building and opposite a new £30 million student accommodation complex.

Goodman has partnered with Birmingham City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency on the wider project which will eventually deliver up to 800,000 sq ft of office space, shops, bars, restaurants and a hotel.

The gallery above shows how work is progressing on 6 Cardigan Street and also some CGIs and drawings of the wider development.
