Marks & Spencer is all set to launch its new Simply Food store in Sutton Coldfield.

M&S Simply Food will open on Wednesday, November 30 at 10am – complete with an M&S Coffee to Go café too.

And staff expect to sell over 5,000 packs of Mince Pies over the festive period!

The 9,000 sq.ft foodhall is part of the £20 million Mulberry Walk shopping and leisure development, which will create a new town centre, delivering 55,361 sq ft of shops and restaurants to one of Birmingham’s most fashionable suburbs.

M&S Mere Green Foodhall facts

· M&S Mere Green has had over 80 people working to prepare the store for opening.

· It will take 10 artic lorries to fill the store.

· The Foodhall will stock 550 different wines and beers from over 20 countries across the world.

· The stores bakery will produce 3,500 items of bread and over 3,000 patisseries in the first month.

· In the lead up to Christmas, the store will stock 14 types of Christmas puddings including a brand new Belgian Chocolate and Toffee flavoured pudding, as well as a variety of Gluten Free options.

Store manager Greg Walker said: “After a long and anticipated wait, my colleagues and I are excited to be opening our doors and welcoming customers.

“From show-stopping feasts to everyday essentials, we’re looking forward to revealing our fantastic choice of products available to customers.”

The new foodhall will offer the usual M&S foods from prepared meals to party food. There will also be a Collect in Store service.

It will be open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

What else will be at Mulberry Walk?

The trendy new development will contain a mixture of shops and eateries.

There will be a Boots, Card Factory and Specsavers.

And Bistrot Pierre recently revealed it will be moving into the development, along with a Loungers cafe/bar, Prezzo and Caffé Nero.
