Multi-national engineering group LoneStar is to invest £7.5 million in a new HQ and manufacturing and distribution centre of excellence in the West Midlands which will safeguard hundreds of jobs in the region.

The company manufactures and supplies high-performance fasteners, sealing and precision-engineered components for the global energy markets.

Extensive refurbishment, building and modernisation work will begin in February to create a new 115,000 sq ft facility at Universal Point in Steelmans Road, near Junction 9 of the M6.

It is scheduled to be completed by next summer.
