A manufacturer of cable management systems is to move to new, larger headquarters in the Black Country after a 12-month search for the right premises.

Armorduct Systems is to consolidate its four separate units in Dudley by moving to Building 9 on The Pensnett Estate, in Kingswinford.

It has agreed a lease on a single 36,525 sq ft unit for ten years with London & Cambridge Properties, which owns and manages the site.

The deal will add a further 8,000 sq ft of space to the manufacturing side of the business which says is planning to expand during 2015.

Armorduct Systems designs and manufactures cable management systems for the construction industry across the UK and overseas.

Managing director Marc Swaffer said: "We've been looking for a single site for some months because it's no longer practical to have us operating out of four different units.

"We wanted to expand and, if we were to do that, realistically we needed to be in a single unit.

"We've also just purchased a new piece of automated manufacturing equipment from Germany and the layout in the new premises was ideal for its installation."

Armorduct Systems employs about 60 staff but is looking to increase that by a further ten people over the next 18 months.

Andrew Preston, industrial property manager at LCP, said: "This is another good news story for manufacturing in the Black Country and we are very pleased that we have been able to accommodate Armorduct in a new high quality headquarters from where it can look to expand its business."
