A Midlands recruitment specialist is launching a new operation in one of three new lettings at Fort Dunlop.

Vivate Recruitment, which is based in Walsall and specialises in the automotive, aerospace and energy sectors, has taken 12,000 sq ft on the fourth floor of the Castle Bromwich building.

Existing occupier Inspired Thinking Group, a marketing company with clients including Renault and Heineken, has also expanded its Fort Dunlop to 20,000 sq ft after leasing an additional 2,000 sq ft.

Another current tenant, chartered surveyors and project managers Kartar Consulting, has doubled its existing space on the third floor as part of a major expansion of the business.

The new lettings come amid a significant investment programme at Fort Dunlop following its acquisition last year which has already seen the atrium completely refurbished and investments in car parking improvements.

Further improvements are planned and a multi-million pound planning application has been submitted.

Neil Edginton from EDG Property said the lettings were a vote of confidence in the scheme which was set to continue, upgrading the tenant offer in the coming months.

He said: “When Fort Dunlop was re-launched after sitting empty for more than two decades, it was one of the region’s highest profile developments but it is important that schemes continue to evolve to meet the aspirations of occupiers in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

“While Fort Dunlop has always been a popular office destination, we believe there remains significant untapped potential to really create a genuine mixed-use offer that not only enhances the facilities for occupiers but also repositions the scheme as a destination in its own right.

“Fort Dunlop is already seeing thousands of extra visitors a week since the launch of a new 24-hour gym and as part of our commitment to improving the leisure offer we are talking to a number of potential occupiers who will be fantastic additions to the scheme.”
