The Birmingham office of property consultancy adviser GVA has appointed graduate surveyor Jon Blood to its offices team.

Mr Blood will be working across both the city centre and out-of-town markets assisting on a number of high-profile buildings across the Midlands including Eleven Brindleyplace, 100 Hagley Road, 54 Hagley Road and Birmingham Business Park.

Prior to joining GVA, he worked for a number of estate agencies including Connells and Edwards and has recently become a fully qualified RICS Associate after achieving a BTEC in residential letting.

He said: "I am thrilled to join the GVA office team and to assist on some of the most exciting buildings currently in the market.

"The ability to work with both the city centre and out-of-town teams are providing me with a great overview of the Birmingham property market and presented a fantastic range of opportunities.

"The property market is booming in Birmingham at the moment which provides an exciting opportunity for me to learn as much as possible and to gather experience as part of a fantastic team".

Charles Toogood, senior director at GVA, added: "Jon is the first appointment in the Birmingham offices team since the recession, which provides a great reflection of improving economic times and a growing desire to service jobs to an appropriate standard.

"The returning strength of the property market has meant that business at GVA has continued to boom and we are pleased to welcome Jon to the team during this exciting period."
