The former Birmingham office of accountancy firm RSM Tenon could end up as a home for students.

The 20,000 sq ft building in Legge Street is on the market through property agents CPBigwood.

The complex is opposite the Aston University and Birmingham City University campuses.

RSM Tenon was acquired by Baker Tilly late last year. Baker Tilly announced Birmingham would be one of the locations up and down the country which would see offices merge.

The property is due to become vacant in July.

Steve Bott, of CPBigwood’s commercial agency team, said: “This is a prime redevelopment opportunity and superb roadside location.”

“It is ideally suited to student residential development subject to planning consent.”

The site occupies a prominent position on the approach to Birmingham city centre from the Aston Expressway, with frontages to Corporation Street, Legge Street, Bagot Street and Moland Street.

"It is close to existing new student residential developments.

The building comprises three storeys with a basement and extensive car parking. The site runs to 0.72 acres.
