A UK event company which regularly works at the NEC has expanded its base in Birmingham to house its exhibitions division.

Mclcreate has taken a 22,000 sq ft unit on Catesby Park, in Kings Norton, from where it will manage major shows across the UK and abroad.

The facility will house staff and its exhibition equipment and neighbours an existing base on the park where 40 staff are employed in the company's event team.

Among its recent projects at the NEC were the Photography Show and Spring Fair International.

General manager of mclcreate Exhibitions Richard Wathen said: "These new premises will help the agency to handle bigger projects and ensure more efficient delivery for clients.

"Birmingham's reputation for exhibitions, along with the size and customised facilities at the new premises, places us in a strong position within the industry."

The exhibitions team regularly manages large-scale shows for companies such as UBM and i2i and works at high profile venues including ExCeL and the Ricoh Arena.
