One of the West Midlands' best-known residential property professionals has joined the Birmingham office of real estate company Cushman & Wakefield.

Eleanor Deeley has been named head of residential and will work with clients such as Countryside, Redrow, Homes & Communities Agency and National Grid.

She was previously a director at CBRE in the firm's residential and mixed-use development team.

Among some of her previous major were the disposal of the former fire station, library and council offices in Bromsgrove on behalf of the county council and the fire service and the disposal of Perry Barr dog track.

She has also advised on numerous developments, including scheme viability for a number of housebuilders.

Prior to joining CBRE in 2007, she worked for King Sturge's development team in Birmingham.
