Nearly 1,500 people from across the country and from multiple industry sectors descended on the Hilton Birmingham Metropole for the 60th annual RoSPA Health and Safety Awards.

Every year, Birmingham-based safety charity the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) hosts the awards, which recognise organisations’ commitment to the prevention of accidents and ill health at work.

There were nearly 2,000 registered entries this year, and while the majority of the awards are non-competitive, competitive awards are presented in 20 industry sectors and for specialist areas.

Two awards ceremonies were held in Birmingham, another at the ExCeL in London and a fourth in Glasgow.
