The latest venture from the team behind Birmingham restaurant group Opus is opening this week.

The group, which already runs restaurant Opus at Cornwall Street and Café Opus at Ikon in Brindleyplace, is launching Bar Opus at One Snowhill on Thursday.

Housed in the ground floor of the landmark city centre office complex, it is primed to take advantage of the thousands of office workers which are based in One Snowhill and Colmore Row and who use Snow Hill station.

Opus is run by Ann Tonks, Irene Allen and chef director David Colcombe and the new bar has created eight jobs and will be the first to open in One Snowhill in one of four dedicated catering units.

The move follows a flurry of activity at One and Two Snowhill, with the latter welcoming HS2 and Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co as anchor tenants and progress expected on Three Snowhill shortly.

The 1,700 sq ft bar has a capacity of 120 and the gallery above features pictures of some of the food and drink being served.
