A new conference centre is opening at the giant Resorts World scheme next year.

The ICC Birmingham is set to open the Vox Conference Centre at Resorts World – which will be one of the largest leisure and entertainment centres of its kind in the UK in Europe.

The centre will be managed by the existing ICC team, an promises to accommodate any type of event from a small seminar or meeting for just a few people, to a banquet for 850 or a conference for 900 delegates.

Managing director Nick Waight says: “We are looking forward to building on our experience of managing successful events, and believe our new conference centre at Resorts World Birmingham will help to further establish us as the leading conference provider in the UK.”

The new venture will be another feather in the bow of the NEC Group, which was put up for sale by Birmingham City Council earlier this year.

The group claims Vox represents a unique offering for the conference market, not only providing innovative conference facilities, but access to a huge choice of restaurants, bars, shops, a hotel, spa, cinema and casino all under one roof.

It will have five suites flexible conference and banqueting space that can be combined or divided to create several multi-functional areas to suit individual event requirements.
