Birmingham is being boosted by major investment deals which have generated new confidence in the city centre offices market, according to research by national commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).

More than 60 property professionals from across the Midlands attended the launch of the 2015 edition of the LSH annual Office Market Report at its Birmingham offices.

They heard that the city has seen its strongest first quarter of commercial lettings since the economic crisis of 2008.

The report found that 130,000sq ft had been let in the city in the first three months of the year as a growing optimism in the economy also saw a number of speculative schemes make significant steps forward.
