Mechanical and electrical (M&E) services specialist JS Wright has secured a £3.5 million contract to work on a new residential development in London.

The Aston-based outfit is working with its electrical partner RB Emerson and Shepherd Construction on the brief to design and build the M&E services in 50 private apartments in Holland Park Avenue.

Housebuilder Redrow is behind the scheme which will see a 10-storey development containing balconies and winter gardens in Shepherd's Bush.

JS Wright will be designing and installing a central energy centre to deliver combined heating and boosted cold water throughout the eco-friendly building which has been built to comply with the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 and achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating.

The company will also be installing interface units for underfloor heating and individual fan coil units connected to a rooftop chiller for comfort cooling.

RB Emerson will be wiring the communications, entertainment and security systems for the development and the project is due for completion in June 2015.

Marcus Aniol, managing director of JS Wright, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by Shepherd Construction to carry out our first luxury homes contract for Redrow London at such a prestigious location in the heart of London."

J S Wright, which was founded in 1890, is a specialist provider of mechanical services to the hotels, residential, leisure and office markets.
