Drawing in 100 medical professionals and tech developers, Innovation Birmingham’s Introduction to Healthcare Apps event welcomed specialist speakers from across the UK.

The collaborative event was delivered in conjunction with the Innovation Engine project and Cisco’s National Virtual Incubator (NVI).

The global medical health apps market is forecasted to reach $2.76 billion by 2018, and the three hour event encouraged and informed delegates of the opportunities available in this emerging market.

Innovation Birmingham’s Hugo Russell introduced the event. Other speakers included Ewan Davis, IT Healthcare expert and founder of HANDI Health; Stephen Chilton, Director of IT at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust; and Bruce Hellman, founder of Umotif.
