Hermes welcomes guests to Baskerville House event

Hermes Investment Management welcomed more than 100 guests at the launch of the last remaining 56,562 sq ft of available office space at Baskerville House in Birmingham

Hermes Investment Management welcomed more than 100 guests from Birmingham’s property and professional services community at the launch of the last remaining 56,562 sq ft of available office space at Baskerville House in Birmingham.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés on the top floor and outdoor terrace and were entertained by Mark Thompson – the presenter on BBC’s Stargazing Live – at the ‘‘Start Exploring Space’’ themed event.

Hermes Investment Management has invested more than £5million refurbishing the 200,000 sq ft Grade II-listed office building, which it acquired in 2013.

Network Rail took 85,000 sq ft in the building earlier this year – the largest Grade A take up of existing office space in Birmingham city centre in the first half of 2016.

Ian Cody, director, asset management at Hermes Investment Management, said: “Baskerville House boasts some of the best floor plates and views available in Birmingham. This novel event gave us the opportunity to showcase the space and the investment we have made in this building.”

CBRE and Knight Frank are joint letting agents.
