Finance specialists in the West Midlands have been given an award after raising almost £3,000 for charity.

Harrison Beale and Owen, which has offices in both Coventry and Leamington, received the ‘most pennies raised’ award after hosting a charity fundraiser which raised £2,770 for the Nifty Fifty Challenge.

Around 75 people attended the charity dinner and dance held at the Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel in Stratford upon-Avon, which included pre-dinner drinks, a three-course meal, a raffle and an auction.

Set up by the Shakespeare Hospice in Stratford upon-Avon, the challenge encouraged supporters to raise as much money as possible from an initial £50 to support families affected by life-limiting illness.

Mark Ashfield, director at HB&O, said: “The evening was a huge success. The live entertainment got everyone on their feet and everyone was extremely generous with their donations.”

“We are absolutely thrilled to have been presented with the award for raising the most amount of money for the charity from those that took part in the challenge.”
