Mid-sized businesses from across the region attended an ‘agents of growth’ summit organised by leading business and finance adviser Grant Thornton to look at the opportunities and challenges for growth.
Hosted by regional managing partner Dave Munton, Lord Paddy Ashdown was keynote speaker.
The skills shortage was identified as the biggest barrier to growth, with other issues including the need to capitalise on export opportunities presented by ‘brand Britain’.
