Jewellery Quarter-based civil and structural engineering consultancy CWA has been appointed to deliver a trio of contracts on residential projects for Seven Capital.

The consultancy is working on One Hagley Road at Five Ways Island, St George's Urban Village in the Jewellery Quarter and Point North at the Waterfront in Brierley Hill.

The projects are collectively worth £125 million and will see more than 1,000 homes created across the three sites.

The construction work is expected to create 600 jobs and many of the homes have already been sold off-plan.

CWA director Steve Wedge said: "These are three of the biggest city living projects being carried forward in the Midlands and will create homes which are badly needed in the region.

"The big infrastructure projects being carried out in the Midlands, along with the success of major companies who are based here is creating a demand for new homes."

CWA was established in 2011 as Copeland Wedge Associates but recently changed its name amid plans to hit the £2 million turnover mark by the end of 2014.

Clients include Willmott Dixon Construction and Housing, Balfour Beatty, RO Developments and Prologis.
