Partners from law firm mfg Solicitors hosted a private reception ahead of the final of the 2015 Bromsgrove International Young Musicians’ Competition which was held in the Routh Hall at Bromsgrove School.

Over 50 guests from across the region, including Business Secretary, the Rt. Hon. Sajid Javid MP, were treated to drinks and canapés ahead of the final which saw 300 music lovers attending.

The competition, co-sponsored by the Midland law firm and the Helen Rachel Mackaness Trust, featured 54 of the world’s best young musicians, drawn from a variety of countries including Russia, Lithuania and China.

mfg’s chairman, Maynard Burton, who is also chair of trustees at the Helen Rachel Mackaness Trust, which awards grants to artists and musicians , presented the £5,000 first prize to 21-year-old Jamal Aliyev from Turkey.
