Award-winning newscaster and journalist Jon Snow outlined his vision for the Heart of England Forest charity during an introduction to the forest for local business leaders.

Snow has been appointed chairman of the Heart of England Forest and hosted around 40 organisations from across the region at an event to mark the latest stage of the charity’s project to plant and preserve a native broadleaf forest in the Midlands.

The Heart of England Forest was the brainchild of the late publishing mogul Felix Dennis, and was established in 2003 with the aim of planting a 30,000 acre forest near his home in Dorsington, which now spreads across Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
