Matthew Hayes, managing director of Champions (UK) plc said: "Champions (UK) plc is the official organiser of 12 regional sports and business awards throughout the East and West Midlands.

"Over the years, we have witnessed first-hand the positive effect these nights of celebration have on the businesses that attend.

"As a prominent business ourselves and with valuable business relationships throughout Birmingham, we understand the importance of promoting the individuals, companies and organisations who work hard to improve the county's economic community.

"The Birmingham Post Business Awards will generate a morale that will last far into the future and boost employee motivation so when we were asked to take over the awards earlier this year we of course jumped at the opportunity."
