The League of Friends of the John Taylor Hospice is looking for 400 adults, children and even dogs to walk, jog or run in the Great Midlands Fun Run, for which entries are now open.
A reception to launch a year of celebrations marking the charity’s 40th anniversary was held at the conferencing suite of St Barnabas Church in Erdington.
It was attended by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Mike Leddy, the Lady Mayoress Pauline Leddy, MP for Erdington Jack Dromey, Councillor Josh Jones, Fun Run director Mr Tracey Spare, representatives of a score of local businesses and many individual supporters of the charity.
