The Birmingham Post Business Awards is set for a record number of entries in 2015 after nominations passed the 100 mark.

Competition is fierce ahead of the region’s premier business awards, which takes place on November 12.

Meanwhile, tables have gone on sale for the event at the ICC Birmingham and are on offer for at an “early bird” price of £795 plus VAT.

Graeme Brown, business editor at the Post, said he expected a record number of applications this year.

He said: “We are well ahead of last year – which itself saw a record number of applications.

“The Post business awards has really become a force to be reckoned with. During the tough times, it was great to tell stories of success in the face of adversity, but it has become so much more.

“We can all see it, there has been a real spike in business activity in Birmingham. Deals are being done, offices are being filled and it is all thanks to some hard work and very shrewd operators.

“We look forward to celebrating with the people who make this city great on November 12.”
