The shortlist has been revealed for the second ever 'Future Faces' competition to recognise Birmingham's up and coming business talent.

The awards, which are run by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, will recognition young business people aged 35 and under across five categories at a ceremony on September 16 at Edgbaston Stadium.

As well as the main categories, the ambassador and venue of the year awards will also be announced on the night.

Russell Jeans, director of membership and business services at the chamber, said: "This year the growth of Future Faces is evident in the high calibre of applications we received which proved to be a challenging task for our judges."

The nominees were chosen by a judging panel made up of Mr Jeans, Alan Gilmour, acquisition and retention at Police Mutual, Justice Williams, managing director of Women Who, Mark Gilman, professor of SME growth at Birmingham City Business School and Nick Holzer, chief executive of whisk.com.
