Supporters of Birmingham Botanical Gardens attended the annual Trustees’ Ball, raising funds for much needed refurbishment work.

Guests were serenaded as they arrived by retro girl band The Glamophones. After dinner, speaker and broadcaster James Wong entertained with stories of his travels, whilst stressing the importance of botanical gardens in science and education. Guests then danced the night away to the sounds of The Subterraneans.

Nearly 200 people came together to help raise important funds for the Gardens’ Glasshouse Appeal, a scheme launched in 2014 to help raise £1 million so that repairs can be carried out.
