Around 100 new jobs are set to be created at Birmingham Airport by Jet2.com.

The airline arm of the holiday company is planning to expand its team at the airport and has launched a recruitment drive for pilots, cabin crew and ground staff.

It is part of a wider move by the group to recruit 1,700 new staff nationwide.

The company said it was planning to increase its seats by 13 per cent during 2018, including a million seats to 30 destinations out of Birmingham.
