A historic motor dealership in Birmingham city centre has undergone a £1 million makeover.

Bristol Street Motors first launched in Birmingham nearly a century ago and its Ford showroom on the A38 is now sporting a new look.

The work has seen a new-look sales area and showroom, brand new body shop and offices for service reception.

The former body shop has been demolished and a raised car display deck constructed at the rear of the building with capacity for up to 50 additional used car spaces and extra parking for customers.

The showroom itself has been upgraded with new furniture, lighting and display boards and new customer facilities.

General manager Martin Leach said: "I am delighted with the investment in the dealership which has seen refurbishment across virtually all the areas.

"It has significantly improved the customer experience for everyone coming into our dealership as well as for our colleagues.

"We're excited to finally reveal the result of the major refurbishment and we hope to continue serving the local community where Bristol Street Motors began."
